Permanent Cosmetics and Laser Tattoo Removal

Make it stay even longer with the colour-boost procedure!

Some people are under the delusion that a single procedure of permanent makeup will let them forget about the trouble taking care of their lips, eyebrows or eyeliner.

If you feel like wearing your permanent makeup longer, you might want to come to your practitioner once again, in a year or two, for a touch-up, which will save you money in the long run. Why? Because once the colour has completely faded out, doing permanent makeup from the start will cost you much more.

Colour boost is a supplementary procedure, which is performed by a client’s request in order to refresh the colour of permanent makeup and extend the time it will last. However, the procedure doesn’t presuppose changing the lines or enhancing the contour.

Once you have noticed that your cosmetic tattooing starts fading out, it is time to refresh the colour - otherwise, the permanent makeup will be gone completely and you will have to pay for a new procedure.

What does the longevity of permanent makeup depend on?

For some, the fading out process starts in 3 months, for others - in 2 years. The longevity of permanent cosmetics depends on individual body features, such as age, skin thickness and metabolic rate. The pigment retention is also affected by external factors, such as sun exposure, laser treatments and use of skin scrubs or medication. Last but not the least is the colour shade used (the lighter the tint, the sooner it is gone) and the face area treated (permanent eyeliner lasts longer that permanent eyebrows, for instance).

You might want a touch-up on a regular basis to refresh the colour of your permanent cosmetics: every 10-12 months for light colour shades and once in 1.5-2 years for dark browns and blacks.

To draw the line, permanent makeup also needs to be taken care of - especially during the post-treatment period and just after it started to fade out.

Follow the aftercare instructions and refresh the colour on time to let permanent cosmetics adorn your face for as long as possible!
